Common questions

Why does Cadre show only some of my contacts?

Limited Access is on, so Cadre sees only the contacts you shared with it. Tap Manage Access to share more, or choose Full Access for Cadre Contacts in the Settings app. Automatic backups and imports need Full Access.

How do I undo a change?

In Cleanup, open Recently Changed to review the recovery options for changes made in Cadre. Contacts deleted in Cadre can be recovered for up to 30 days. Moves between accounts and changes made outside Cadre can’t be undone.

Where are my backups?

In your private iCloud Drive, in the Cadre Contacts folder, or on your device when iCloud Drive is off. Turn on Automatic Backups in Cadre’s Settings > Backups to keep up to 30 recent backups. To restore, open Saved Backups and choose Add Contacts or Replace Contacts.

Does Cadre work with Google or Exchange contacts?

Yes. Cadre works with every account in your device’s contacts, including iCloud, Google and Exchange, and saves approved changes in each contact’s own account. You can copy or move contacts between accounts. Exchange accounts don’t support groups.

What does iCloud Sync do?

It keeps contact-related data, Smart Lists, and preferences in step across your devices through your private iCloud. It’s on by default; turn it off in Cadre’s Settings > iCloud Sync. Turning it off stops future sync without deleting stored copies. Work already pending may finish. Backups have their own settings.

Can you see my contacts?

Cadre analyzes your contacts on your device. Sync and backups use your private iCloud. We don’t operate a contact-data server or sell contact data.
